Épopée - L’état du moment

Born of an idea that Rodrigue Jean had while he was filming Hommes à louer (2008), Épopée – L’état du moment is a community based project consisting entirely of stories that were written and filmed in collaboration with the homeless. Using film - writing, shooting, editing, and distribution - as a gesture and instrument of freedom and community, these films are not meant to be portraits - fictional or real - of their protagonists but are rather a reflection of our society, its structure and the way it works, and the ostracism on which it so comfortably relies.
